Character Name: Lysithea von Ordelia
Canon: Fire Emblem: Three Houses
Canon Point: Immediately prior to Chapter 12 on the Verdant Wind route (as Edelgard prepares to march on Garreg Mach)
In-Game Tattoo Placement: Back of her hand (the appearance is oddly similar to the banner of the Golden Deer)
Current Health/Status: Alive and asleep. Owing to unethical experimentation, Lysithea probably has about 10-20 years of life left, and this generally manifests in poor physical strength and becoming easily fatigued. There is nothing she can do about this apart from pushing through.
Age: 16 as of her canon point
Species: Human
Content Warnings: Human experimentation, war, death, death/serious harm to young children.
History:
Lysithea's personal history. (Just up to the Academy Phase.)
Fire Emblem: Three Houses plot summary. (Still just Part I. I am also ignoring the events of Cindered Shadows, as I am not familiar with the DLC.)
(Based off the Verdant Wind run. Byleth is male and all students stayed in their respective houses.)
Personality:
Lysithea has a reputation among her classmates. 'Magical prodigy,' they call her. 'The smart one.' 'Unbearably talented.' Regardless of what they whisper, however, Lysithea ignores them and presses on. She has one goal: study her butt off, become the strongest, most independent powerful young noble she can be, and return home to secure a peaceful and comfortable life for her parents. Her incredible 'talent,' in truth, is really just two things: that unfortunate detail where she was tortured and implanted with two Crests as a child, and the much more important bit where she spends every waking moment working herself to the bone.
(Really, she hates it when people minimize her efforts by calling it 'talent.')
Why does she do this? It's fairly understandable: Lysithea will be lucky to live until her 30s. Owing to aforementioned magical experimentation, she lives on a predetermined time scale much shorter than most others. At the precocious age of fifteen, she knows she has to squeeze in a full life within the next ten or twenty years. Consequently, she is highly sensitive when people dismiss her as young or naive (or yes, talented). As the youngest student enrolled in the Academy, she is frequently overlooked, infantilized, or otherwise looked down upon for her age and appearance. She despises being treated like a child and will regularly and loudly emphasize this point. ...Unfortunately, she is so sensitive that this... comes off as a childish trait. And indeed, she takes offense to all manner of things. Not being asked to help with physical labor, being kept out of the fray, being told to stop studying and go sleep, being looked at the wrong way... To a certain extent, she brings it upon herself.
And though she is in many ways mature beyond her years, Lysithea does trend towards some mildly childish traits. She adores sweets beyond all reason (though she's aware this doesn't have a good look) and will loudly chastise anyone who doesn't feel similarly. She's terrified of ghosts, despite that she has the magical strength comparable to a nuclear warhead. She has the sharp, insensitive tongue of a child, speaking her mind and not caring how it affects other people until she realizes she has hurt them. In several regards, Lysithea is every bit her fifteen/sixteen years.
The trauma she suffered as a child must necessarily shape her, however. In other aspects, Lysithea's mind is fully mature. She's decided how she will use the remainder of her life, securing her parents' safety and happiness and protecting her people as best she can. She has no patience for petty politics and pointless backroom deals, placing value on the things that matter to her much more. Though her tone is sharp, she points out genuine weaknesses in others, and her intent is often to help them become better versions of themselves, even if she loses patience. She is reliable and dependable on the battlefield, the most adaptable and the best suited for difficult tasks. Her House Leader, Claude, a man with a brilliant tactician's mind, admits that he relies on her as much as he does their teacher.
As the war progresses, Lysithea continues to hold fast to what is most important to her: stability for her homeland, peace for her family. She has no time (literally) to be indecisive; she makes snap decisions (that is to say, she is decisive, not that she is hasty) and sticks with her judgments, which tend to leave little room for interpretation. Edelgard hesitates when facing Lysithea; Lysithea shows no qualms about a battle to the death to protect what she believes. When the Professor seeks to reassure her, it is not a promise to protect her parents that improves her mood, but a reminder that they have chosen their path and they must stay strong. To save the Alliance, to protect House Ordelia, she will forge her own way without hesitation. It is up to those around her to respect and support her choices.
Abilities/Powers/Weaknesses & Warping:
Lysithea would fall under the category of a 'powerful' magical character. My intention is to bring her in with B Rank Reason and Faith magic, which the average player would have at the end of Part One. This includes dark magic (Miasma Δ, Swarm Z, Luna Λ, Dark Spikes T), light magic (Heal, Nosferatu, Seraphim, Warp), and black magic (Fire, default Mage ability)
Lysithea's dark and black magic will have a high chance of backfiring, becoming much weaker, or otherwise not working correctly. For her light magic, Heal will damage the recipient. Nosferatu (drains health) will still heal Lysithea herself, but will have the effect of draining health from others around her as well. Seraphim (offensive light magic that is effective on monsters) will be unaffected, and Warp will work adequately outside of situations where she is trapped in areas that the game traps her in for events, etc.
Lysithea was artificially implanted with two Crests as a child. What this means is that she has immense power, but her life is greatly shortened. In the context of the game, this just makes her magical power and combat abilities stronger on occasion. The Crest of Charon is known to cause it to rain at times that are inconvenient for Lysithea but this is generally played off as a joke.
Outside of this, Lysithea has a 'budding talent' for swordplay that is liable to be surprising to most. She has no physical strength whatsoever, but she's good with sword technique.
Inventory:
Levin Sword (magical sword that shoots lightning)
Magic Staff (increases magical power - [this isn't classified as a weapon in Three Houses; it's a secondary item you equip that boosts a stat, but let me know if this is not allowed])
Pure Water (temporary spell resistance)
School uniform/outfit (self-explanatory)
Armored Bear Stuffy (extremely important)
Encyclopedia of Sweets (possibly even more important)

Are you comfortable with prominent elements of fourth-walling?: Yes
What themes of horror/psychological thrillers do you enjoy the most?: I like suspense and mystery - stumbling upon something horrific that has no explanation, a town of people who all behave not quite like people, a cellar door that hides a long-hidden bunker with a dark secret... that kind of thing.
Is there anything in particular you absolutely need specific content warnings for?: I think it is extremely unlikely that this will ever be relevant, but vivid descriptions or images of radiation poisoning are triggering for me.
Additional Information: Can't think of anything! Thanks for reading the app.
